How to Control Effect Parameters via MIDI in AUM and BeatMaker 3

Using an external MIDI controller can be a great way of giving yourself more control over your effect apps, making it easy to alter effects on the fly - whether you’re recording or jamming live.   

In the video below I show you how to assign the parameters in an AUv3 effect app to controls on an external MIDI controller inside AUM and BeatMaker 3. While mapping effect parameters to a MIDI input is possible in several iOS AUv3 hosts apps, be aware that not all have this function. For example, in Garageband you aren’t able to re-assign MIDI controls to parameters of your choosing.
